Time and time again, throughout my career, people have told me that this or that idea of mine is "obviously wrong." Time and time again, whether in research, industry or philanthropy, I have found that sometimes the most "obviously wrong" ideas turn out later to be the most powerful, impactful, or game-changing.

I'm reasonably intelligent and I work hard but I've never been the smartest guy in the room, the fastest programmer on a team or the businessman who can out-think all of his competitors by 80 moves.

What I am, however, is creative, willing to take a big risk and go all out for something I care about. I have found that, more often than not, this is enough. In fact, it's often exactly what's missing.

This page — and this site — is a reminder to try that "obviously wrong" idea. It is a reminder to others, those who might need a little nudge to take a risk. It is a reminder to me, in case I someday get a little old and grumpy and start labeling someone else's idea "obviously wrong."
