Time and time again, throughout my career, people have told me that some idea of mine is "obviously wrong." Time and time again, whether in research, business or philanthropy, I have found that sometimes the most "obviously wrong" ideas turn out later to be the most powerful, impactful or game-changing.

I am reasonably intelligent and I work hard but I have never been the smartest guy in the room, the fastest programmer on a team or the businessman who can out-think his competitors by ten moves.

What I am, however, is creative, willing to take a big risk and go all out for something I care about. I have found that, more often than not, this is enough. In fact, it's often exactly what's missing.

This page — and this site — is a reminder to try that "obviously wrong" idea. It is a reminder to others, those who might need a little nudge to take a risk. It is a reminder to me, in case I someday get a little old and grumpy and start labeling someone else's idea "obviously wrong."
